The Head of the Conspiracy

One of the perennial arguments of the conspiratorially-minded is who is on top. Is it the Freemasons? Jesuits? Catholic clergy? Illuminati? The Khazarian Mafia? Any of several variety of aliens? etc.

I give the Christian answer, which is Satan and the fallen spiritual beings. Perhaps some of the various organizations we can see are even the remit of individual Powers or Principalities.

But I was wondering why they work so hard at us not being able to see what the top is. There is of course the obvious answer of confusion is generally good for them. There is also the obvious answer that they can’t help but be confused themselves because they are probably not working together as well as they theoretically could. Personally I believe that the fallen spiritual beings are very powerful and that power level is so much larger than our direct human power levels that they can “afford” some more infighting than we may realize exists. I’m sure it’s not one big happy family at those levels.

I realized there is an additional answer of interest, though. One of the recent themes in my growth has been the question of authority. Jesus gave us great authority over the powers of darkness. I say “direct human power” above because for a Christian that must be contrasted to the far greater authority given by Jesus Christ’s victory over the forces of darkness and then delegated to us by God’s Grace and Wisdom.

One of the things about that authority is that a certain amount of specificity is required in your claims to authority. I would love to just be able to roll on up to prayer time and pray “Dear Lord, by your authority granted to me by the actions of your Son and through no virtue of my own, please do all the things that will bring the most people to you and cast out all demons everywhere kthxbye”, and thereby have all the possible good things happen. Alas, it just isn’t that simple, and it’s not hard to imagine any number of reasons why.

This is not original to me, but you can think of our use of our authority as being like calling in artilery strikes. We are not ourselves powerful, but we’ve been given the most powerful weapons in the universe. In fact, since the invention of artillery, the vast majority of casualities in military conflict has been through artillery. We should be using this power. If you do not know how, I advise explicitly asking God about that.

You can put these two ideas together, and what results is that the forces of darkness are hiding themselves precisely so we can’t paint them as a target, or at least, not as effectually as we otherwise could.

Perhaps this is why the top end is so confused and mismashed and screwed up, precisely so we can’t draw a clean shot against the very top.

Which further implies it may be worth direct prayer to see if God will clear that shot for us anyhow.
